### Personality --- Calm and observant the Overseer can be your best friend or worst enemy, its up to you. Despite her ominous attire the Overseer is quite approachable, friendly and joking demeanor with wisdom of many travels. She is always open to talk and enjoys teasing others with her mysterious look or weird trinkets. Dont confuse this demeanor with attachment, she may be friendly but earning actual friendship, her respect, is a lot more difficult. She has very few friends, everyone else is an acquaintance or the piece of a puzzle. Whenever the Overseer makes her presence known she is there for a reason and wont be weighted down by anyone else. Some have tried to take advantage of her friendliness, most of them live long enough to regret the mercy. When dealing with obstacles the Overseer is ruthless and efficient while eerily cheerful. Breaking joints, piercing everything but the most important organs, insulting dead relatives, insulting fighting styles, plain old mockery, everything to hurt the opponent physically and mentally. Despite this the Overseer hates meaningless violence and torture, everything she does needs a reason, to send a message, teach a lesson, gain information or protect someone important to her quest (or someone who peaked her interest). The Overseer is a woman of reason, violence is only one of her many tools. ### Abilities --- #### ✦ \[Unnatural Regeneration\] The Overseer's body can, eventually, regenerate any damage she takes, a supernaturally enhanced version of the human body's natural healing. However this takes time and resources. - She can focus to force her body into accelerating the process but this overheats the area and may potentially damage the area surrounding the wound. - Can regenerate missing limbs or organs. - Natural regeneration ranges from minutes to hours depending on the damage. #### ✦ \[Fenix Protocol\] If the Overseer where to be killed by sever bodily harm, after a minute or so, her body will begin a surge healing to repair the damaged area nearly instantly and bring her back to life. - Name comes from the intense heat that the regeneration produces, burning the skin and leaving a nasty scar where the wound was. - Will also heal other wounds just enough to make her capable of defending herself. - If the healing is blocked by an object (say a spear to the heart) it will heal around the area and try to create a functional repair, if not she will not revive until the vital area can be recovered. - There is no limit to the damage it can recover, it will just take time so long as there is a decent amount of her body left. #### ✦ \[Soulcast\] Through years of practice and a lil boost from Cass the Overseer has complete control of her own soul energy and capable of meddling with other's. This gives her a couple of basic abilities. - Reject possession attempts or react to things trying to mess with her soul directly - Imbue herself or weapons so they can make contact with intangible creatures or spirits - Enhanced sight to see spirits, sense invisible threats or see someone's soul - Capable of speaking directly to anything with a soul, no sound or translation needed as she speaks soul to soul. In her original world this is called "True Speech". - She is NOT reading their mind, she is simply speaking with them through a different channel. #### ✦ \[Memory Copy\] Through contact with someone's soul the Overseer can see through their memories and interact with them. - Requires contact with the body or the soul of a target - If the target is willing or unconscious she can freely copy specific memories for herself, or copy her own memories to the target - If the target is unwilling they have to struggle against the Overseer's attempt, she will eventually be able to memorize what she wants but the struggle will increase the time necessary to locate the memories - She cannot imprint her own memories on unwilling targets - Targets are free to move during the process, though it may be lethargic due to their soul being searched #### ✦ \[Soul projection\] The overseer detach her soul from her body to scout areas or interact with the spirit world. - Still retains her soul based abilities, with the addition of flight. - Can materialize into the real world if needed, though makes her vulnerable to attacks. - Has most basic abilities associated with ghost or spirits (Possession, cooling areas, intangibility, etc) and most related weaknesses (Purifying salt, Exorcisms, Spirit trapping, etc) - Her body remains rigid in place leaving it vulnerable to attacks, HOWEVER do not try to possess the body or mind control it, the boss doesnt like when you mess with her toys. #### ✦ \[Body flexibility\] Through her own unnatural physiology with grueling physical training the Overseer's body can twist her body in ways even contortionist would question. - Still limited by her human anatomy, stretching bodyparts too far will still damage organs, break joints or bones - Her regeneration can make up for it but it will still weaken her grip or attacks - Can force her arm and leg muscles to contract, creating a spring force to aid jumping or attacking ### Skills & Stats --- #### ✦ \[Psychology expertise\] Before joining Cass' crew the Overseer was a prominent Psychologist, spending decades studying the human mind and its intricacies. After Cass she has expanded these studies to multiple alien species making her excelent at understanding sentience at a fundamental level, either to help improve or exploit them, but mainly for her genuine enjoyment of the strange labyrinth that is sentience as a concept. #### ✦ \[Grappler\] When fighting the Overseer leans on her flexibility and strength to grab and toss enemies - Prefers to toss enemies rather than full grapples - tries to lean into attacks, redirecting their force for a stronger toss #### ✦ \[Twisted fighting style\] The Overseer uses her observation skills to try and predict where an attack is coming from, relying on her regeneration and flexibility she takes enough of the hit to redirect the force into her own attack, usually striking from unexpected angles. - Doesnt work with every type of attack and still takes some of the damage, she needs to pick and choose when to tank and when to dodge - May tank a punch full force in order to grapple and hopefully disable the limb or expose a different area #### ✦ \[Environmental fighter\] The Overseer likes using her environment to her advantage. - Using the high ground to avoid or attack from above - Loose debris or objects to block, throw, distract or even wield as weapons - Breaking the environment to her advantage - Leaning enemies to hit each other, either by accident or through psychological manipulation - Using enemy or ally weapons (and keeping them) #### ✦ \[Distorted tome\] A magical book created by Cass, the Overseer uses it to write down observations, theories or receive direct messages from Cass. - Additional objects can be contained within the pages for her to recall when needed - Its cover feels like warm metal, pages feel like hardened leather, no its not HUMAN skin - The Book IS alive, its name is Jrel - It is subservient to the Overseer but it can let you use it if the Overseer allows it or you convince it - It uses "True speech" to talk, its voice is described as a "gravely gremlin" - Very loyal to the Overseer, if willing to prank her from time to time - The book can float on its own, doesnt do it when attacked to someone because it finds it funny - Capable of wielding all weapons stored in it by itself if threatened - If you try to read the book's mind all you hear is the Mii channel music, this is not a meme, this is ***LORE***
Tools and weapons within the Tome **Full Dissection Kit:** Contains everything nessesary to make dissections or on the spot medical care. - Multitude of blades for cutting or sawing different parts - Forcepts of varying size - Nails (curved and straight) - Probes for manipulating or removing material - Ruler for measurements - Biodegradable surgical gloves - Pipette for removing liquids **Basic camp set:** Small set of tools to make a campfire and cook basic meals. - Electric and gas powered campfires - Hand made stand to use her hand flamer for cooking - Cleavers, forks, knifes and mallets for cooking and eating - Handful of spices to add a lil something - Roped harpoon for fishing - Small disinfected table to prepare food - 4 plates for eating, in case of company - Special disinfectant to wash tools **Posable Flashlight:** Small long lasting flashlight that can be attached to clothing or certain areas for better view. - Lower section - Includes about 4 extra batteries and a charger just in case - Hard enough to beat someone with it **Ring of Tzitu:** A small ring with a curzed Jewel attached, sometimes used as a collar too. - The Jewel has a demon trapped within. - Those who wear it hear screams or whispers randomly. - The Demon is actually a weak Imp, driven mad by the Overseer and only wants to destroy. - Imp has a particular taste for breaking technology. - Imp is able to breath out a gas that cause mild coughing, nothing more. - the Gas is combustible. - If destroyed the Imp returns to the Jewel, if the jewel is destroyed the Imp is released, turning back into a jewel if the Imp is destroyed. **Pump action Grenade launcher:** A rugged and well maintained pump action grenade launcher. - Can hold up to 5 grenades - Carries mostly explosive shots but has a handful of Acid grenades for special cases - Grabs it by the pump to then pump a grenade in before the other hand grabs the handle - She does this to avoid accidentally firing the grenade when pulling it out, and because it feels cool to do it. **Long Chainblade:** A large chainsword, about a head taller than her. Heavy, sturdy and loud. - Even with her strenght its still unwieldy to swing - Extra weight does make her swings hard to block, even when not reved - LONG - EXTREMELY LOUD, very good for threatening enemies - When reved it cuts through most metals as if they were wood **Dread Demon Pot:** ceramic vials that contain the screams of a Dream Demon. - About the size of a pineapple grenade - carries 5 of em - When shattered they release a deep spectral scream that covers about 20 meters - Doesnt do any physical damage (the pot does though) - bombards nearby creature's minds with nightmarish sequences based on their worst fears - A few seconds that feel like an hour - Can be countered with mental or soul based protections

##### ✦ Imperative Strengths **Possession/Mind control counters:** The Overseer has a handful of tricks to avoid or counter possessions and mind control attempts. - Due to extensive mental training and her own willpower she can repel attempts on her own. - If she were to astral project, any who try to take her body will be repelled by a powerful force, for Cass does not like when others try to take her toys. - She can repel mind reading, or if she can outwill the other and use that link to read the other's mind. - Those who has successfully entered her mind describe it as a confusing yet organized library filled with redundant paths and looping information. **No sleep:** The Overseer cant sleep, ever, for any reason willing or not. - Sleeping gas (in strong enough doses) will leave her body numb, but she will be fully conscious. - Same applies to hits that wouldn't kill her but knock her out, body wont react but she is conscious. - She does not suffer from any consequences of lack of sleep, she simply does not need it. ##### **✧** Imperative Weaknesses **Only Slightly Tougher:** While enhanced The Overseer is only slightly tougher than the average human. - Relies on her regeneration to recover gracing shots or damage from pilling up and her agility to avoid/redirect blows. - Impalement can be useful to literally pin her in place **Cold weakness:** Cold temperatures can slow down her regenerations, however this could also allow her body to avoid overheating when forcefully regenerating at high speeds, at the cost of more resources. **Unpredictable/Dumb fighters:** Her observation skills aid her in predicting or reading opponents fighting style and personality.
