Table of ContentsBackstoryBrian was born and raised in Oklahoma where he was bullied for his sexuality and interests by peers and family. Instead of fighting, he learned how to talk to people, choosing words that would get them to agree with him even if it was in a roundabout way. He discovered a love for acting and the arts, both things that twisted perceptions of people and made them feel emotions for otherwise fictional characters and settings.
When the time came to apply to college, Brian went as far as he possibly could to a University in Massachusetts. Here he met Fran, who didn’t care that he was bisexual, had a passion for art and shared his interest in monsters and the occult. They were dating for a while when they saw a mysterious play and became obsessed with the city mentioned in it, Carcosa. Fran suggested that they could make a portal to visit and Brian agreed. It worked.
As humans that contracted Hastur without his assistance, Brian and Fran were added to ‘The Crown’ leaders of the cult whose main base was an uncharted island. While Fran was forced to stay due to her ability to become an avatar for Hastur, Brian was allowed to leave in order to help the play. He stayed, however. Fran was becoming increasingly more depressed and even though she had broken up with him, Brian still wanted to be available as a friend to talk to.
It was many years on the island until Mal showed up and he and Fran severed the cult's connection to Hastur. Brian, and many others became lost in their purpose. He was unsure what to do, where to go. Many months were spent researching in vain on how to connect Earth back to Carcosa. Fran, now dating Mal, allowed Brian to stay with them while he picked himself up.
Eventually he got better and he and Fran discussed getting back together, so long as Mal was okay with it of course and so long as Mal was involved.
The three now live together happily. |

Personality
Nothing pleases Brian more than being in the spotlight, except maybe helping people transform from human into eldritch monster. Despite his over the top personality, Brian is normally genuine in his feelings. He just tends to exaggerate them. When he's happy, he will cheer and laugh loudly; sad, he will moan and whine.
His exception is anger, which he keeps hidden under a careful mask. One where he smiles and carefully chooses his words in order to get the other person to back down or join Brian in agreement. He also has a tendency to lean towards his cult leading lifestyle. While deep down he doesn't want to harm people or manipulate them, he truly believes it's better for people to be able to transform.

Abilities
✦ Byakee
Brian has the ability to change into a wyvern like creature called a Byakee. While in this form he can fly and travel into space where he can use the cosmic energy to teleport himself to other worlds. He can also take up to two passengers for this, though they would both need to take precautions so they don’t die up in space. He is able to transform all or parts of his body into this form, but mainly he goes full Byakee while retaining his ability to speak normally (don’t ask).
Note: His clothes do not change with him or return when changing back.

Occult Knowledge
Brian can understand eldritch magic and can set up/open portals to other worlds while on earth, given he has enough souls to kickstart the process. He has seen so many occult horrors and oddities that they do not scare him, in fact he is likely to just get really excited about them. Given time and training he could pick up other magical tricks as well.
Can Exist in Extreme Environments
Brian can survive in the depths of the ocean or at the edge of the universe without any protection. He can also exist in extreme heat and cold without any life threatening issues.
