Table of ContentsBackstoryBorn in his family's farmhouse to a line of Holy Paladins under the tutelage of the Holy Furnace, After Hawnloughe murdered a past great grandfather in an attempt to save his own life he was punished with the duty of protecting and nurturing the murdered Paladin's bloodline. This marks Roger as the fifth in the line of the Holy Furnace's squires.
Roger had many troubles in his younger years focusing on the training that he was forced into. Sweet on his neighbor girl Roger was a difficult student and needed to be handled carefully to learn with the carrot and the stick.
Roger's hyperactive demeanor gave the young squire many chances to uplift his name under his master's tutelage between picking fights with his fellow squires and late nights sneaking into the bar with other knights. Irregardless of the harsh training given by his master Roger became enamored with the image of a Paladin standing above his fellows and aimed to usurp his master one day. Provided, of course, he could bring his girl along.
Roger's wedding was a large bash thanks to the interference of Hawnloughe on the behalf of his squire who requisitioned an entire chapel during the Flame Festival for it. Now happily wed, Roger is a dedicated soon-to-be father and Paladin aiming for the top of the chapel through his master. However should anything happen to the Holy Furnace Roger's future line may be in grave danger.
AppearanceRoger is a well-built human with hair that burns aflame when using his holy powers. His ears are decorate with a poorly-made flaming sigil earring to signify his connection to the Holy Lady of Flame. He wears a wedding ring on his finger to signify his resolve to never give up no matter how long he has to fight. His facial features are usually in constant falter with his energetic expressions and mannerisms. On his hips are a pair of well-made short swords with flaming motifs stained into the sheathes. His green eyes stare whimsically at his next goal. |

Personality
Roger is an energetic man in his middle years of life at the age of 20 in his city. He demands honor in fights but is not afraid to use dishonorable tactics himself if he needs to. He is a liar and a cheat with his expressions so energetic that it's hard to tell when he's serious. He's very upfront with the people that he likes the look or feeling of and very willing to make use of them while offering his own help in return.

Abilities
✦ Holy Cathedral of the Holy Flame's Sword
Roger is trained in an unorthodox branch of his church's sword techniques utilizing a method of mirroring the movements for either hand in a dual-wielded sword flurry. He tends to draw the second sword only when he's given up on honorable combat.
✦ Squire of the Holy Lady
The being of the apostle exists in a state of flame. Objects associated with the apostle may be seen as on fire to those outside the faith. This ability allows the user to burn all that they touch to white hot fury. This is used by Roger to inflict burning arcs from the tips of his blades to leave searing slices through his opponents. The flames are holy with destructive power. They burn carbon sources slower than normal flame and can burn with holy power alone should there be nothing to burn.

Having been raised under Hawnloughe he's picked up sword techniques and survival abilities from surviving his master's training regimen.
Roger is capable of surviving harsh cold with his holy power and hunting with a sling for food.
Roger's work as an assistant to the cathedral's prime assassin has granted Roger the ability of silent movement though he rarely uses it when his master is not around.
