Zetsel [WIP]

A former scholar in magi-tech ostracized from the academic community, Zetsel wanders the world in search of something that could permanently counteract the parasitic side effects of a grafted augment of his own making. Motivated largely by his unrelenting ambition and sense of self-preservation, Zetsel is more than willing to make a gambit to achieve what he needs, even if it means making enemies and burning bridges as he does so.

Personality
On first impressions, Zetsel comes across as irritable but extremely dedicated. He is unafraid of making his voice known in most matters and is willing to take initiative in cases where nobody else steps up. He is surprisingly open to conversation and sharing his passions for research and acquiring knowledge, even if it means undermining his prickly front to sate his curiosity. Despite this, he will dodge questions or answer with occasional half-truths if he really doesn't want to answer someone; he calls it an impersonal precaution.
Those more acquainted with Zetsel however, will find that he's a lot more subtle than he lets on. He is meticulous and devises contingency plans for anyone he encounters, regardless of whether he's opposed to or aligned with them. Zetsel will strike up conversations [or resort to other less pleasant means] solely to eke out critical information from others. In a situation where he deems it necessary to lie, cheat, manipulate, double-cross or harm, he will do to achieve what he needs. In addition to his lofty ambitions, it becomes evident that he is also motivated by spite towards those who he perceives as obstacles to overcome or surpass. He doesn't seem to personally mind all that much if he has to break bonds or hurt people whom he previously was on good terms with; he deems that emotions are superseded by strides towards an objective goal.

Weapons
- To help direct his augmented magic, Zetsel wears long gloves with lines of the same metallic composition extending to the tips of his pointer and middle fingers, as well as his thumb. These "conductive" strips end in claw-like points, which he might (ideally) use for ease of tinkering, but are also sharp enough for swiping at things.
- Zetsel also carries a letter opener in his pocket.
