This character exists to assist my main OC for the tournament, Doe. I thought that having a page for her dog would be funny, and I'm right, it's pretty funny.
A dog is a loyal creature, and sometimes loyalty means doing things you don't want to do. Like being put in charge of babysitting for a week. Or being convinced to follow the teen you are babysitting to God knows where.
The afterlife is unfair, and Mister Beans is tired.
Table of ContentsBackstoryChurch Grims are an unfortunate, yet necessary part of any graveyard. Whoever is buried on the land first is forced to stay on this plane. To avoid this happening to any humans, many have opted to bury dogs first. Mister takes his job very seriously.
He doesn't remember much of his first family, but he remembers the first Hawthornes, the ones that started the graveyard, and two generations of children, all tied to the funeral home. The young (at the time) witch felt bad, and spent a lot of her time with the grim, and It wasn't until Cordelia chose him as her familiar, that he could venture outside the walls of the graveyard.
Being tied to Cordelia as her familiar allows him to be more corporeal and allows for belly rubs. What a lucky dog.
Most recently, he was left to watch over Doe Hawthorne while Cordelia was away on business. |

Personality
Mister Beans is a standard Loyal dog, he does what his owner says, and while he doesn't exactly like the current plans of Doe, his main goal is to keep her safe until Cordelia's return. He will be more likely to ignore direct commands from her in favor of her safety.
Regarding strangers, he can be polite, though untrustworthy at first, acting as a bit of a guard dog, though his trust is easily gained, through treats, pets, or if one seems to be favored by his owner.

Abilities
✦ Ghost dog
He can switch between a corporal and more ghostly form at will, the ghostly form can be commanded to aid in battle, but Cordelia and Doe see little use for that specifically, has not been used in a while.
✦ Church Grim
Mr Beans, while his speech is limited, can have more clear talks with the dead, very easily passing through the veil of the living and undead worlds.
✦ Anchor
Being nearer to Doe or Cordelia makes their powers easier to harness, with Mister, acting as an anchor for the magic, which can be rather unstable without a Familiar nearby.
